What percentage of belief is the threshold between theism and atheism?

What percentage of belief is the threshold between theism and atheism? Topic: How to write a book about my life as an abused child
June 19, 2019 / By Diot
Question: For me, the supernatural is 100% impossible, by definition, and the possibility of a god existing naturally is so minute, that there is virtually 0% chance. Intelligent extraterrestrial life, even superior to us is possible, but I would not call that "god," because it would seem like an archaic way of thinking. So what about you? Do you believe that you are atheist if you believe 49% chance there is a god?

The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world! Academia states that in the absence of any sort of evidence of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable evidence is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence. The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not! There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded! There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death! He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record? Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death! Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter! At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed! The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN! Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead? The first person to provide a shred of verifiable evidence for God will become world famous and mega rich! Ain't happened yet and it never will! So how does this primitive belief in a god survive? The answer is simple and very down to Earth Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking. They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren! Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world! Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely. Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

Atheism is both a religion and a positive belief atheism [ey-thee-iz-uh m] Spell Syllables Examples Word Origin noun 1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God. COURT RULES ATHEISM A RELIGION A federal court of appeals ruled Wisconsin prison officials violated an inmate’s rights because they did not treat atheism as a religion. Atheism is [the inmate's] religion, and the group that he wanted to start was religious in nature even though it expressly rejects a belief in a supreme being,” the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals said. The court decided the inmate’s First Amendment rights were violated because the prison refused to allow him to create a study group for atheists. The Supreme Court has said a religion need not be based on a belief in the existence of a supreme being. In the 1961 case of Torcaso v. Watkins, the court described “secular humanism” as a religion. Creed: No God, anti-God, pro-homosexuality, anti-Christianity. Atheism is a belief.  atheists gathered around a common belief of no God, or lack of God, and the need to increase what they perceive as separation of church and state in America. Crisis: Rejoice when converts to their belief system are announced.  There is applause and excitement when there are announcements about people who had "come out of the closet" and announce their atheism. Zealous for their cause: They want their cause and belief system expanded to the extent of changing America to reflect their thinking. Exclusive: Only they have the truth.  The atheists repeatedly speak of how atheism was the truth, and that theists and deists are ignorant of facts and reason. Us against them mentality: There is a profound description of the division between atheism and theism with the atheists being the ones who are defending themselves against the intrusive theists. Concern about public image: They are very concerned with how they are perceived and want to change their negative reputation. Lack of critical thinking: Though they think they are rational, by far most of the arguments and comments aren't. Misrepresentation of opposing views: A common trait among people who gather in groups, have a common ideology, and see others as being less enlightened. Voting block: The atheists mention voting as a group in order to progress their cause in society. Infighting: normal for groups.  We don't all see eye to eye.  But, they all hold to atheism even though they have disagreements about some particulars. Money: They dont have tithing, but there are plenty of things for sale.  they seek donations to help cover the costs of promoting atheism, paying speakers, renting facilities, etc.

Neither! The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world! So atheism is not a conscious decision or a belief but a realisation! In the United States, atheism is protected under the First Amendment's Free Exercise Clause. In August 2005, in a case where a prison inmate was blocked by prison officials from creating an inmate group to study and discuss atheism, the court ruled this violated the inmate's rights under the First Amendment's Free Exercise Clause. The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit affirmed previous Supreme Court precedent by ruling atheism be afforded equal protection with religions under the 1st amendment. Clearly setting out that atheism is NOT a religion but IS afforded the same protection as a religion under the constitution!

I will try my best to help you understand a few things. I think it may be helpful based on how you have said what you said. 1) There isn't a threshold between theism and atheism. If there is theism in a person, they are a theist, and if it is absent (q.v., "a-", suffix, "without") then the term atheist applies. 2) And that's all that term refers to. "An absence of belief in deities." 3) Philosophical naturalism is so simple to understand for those that believe in it. I do too, and note I used the words "believe in philosophical naturalism". I concede to you that the supernatural is 100% impossible. Then you start to get irrational due to a failure to use valid logic... 4) You skipped defining "natural god". What would that be? A "first cause"? 5) How did you begin to calculate the odds of a "first cause" being so minute? Also, why did you equate the small percentage chance you calculated to zero? (A positive value is a non-zero number, always.) 6) How did you calculate the odds of ETI life? (SETI wants to know.) 7) You (and everyone) is free to call what they want to a "god". (Or not.) In conclusion, the best advice I can give you to help figure out how to ask questions better is to explain what atheism is properly. It's not just "believing in no gods", and it's certainly not always "believing that no gods exist" (strongly). Atheism is "not having a god of one's own". It really doesn't matter if an atheist thinks someone else's god may or may not exist. * All that matters is that an atheist is not calling anything a god of their own. * And that has nothing to do (necessarily) with epistemology, logic, evidence, science, naturalism, or anything else so much... Just one thing determines if there is a god or not for someone... Ontological views based on intuitive reason.

We all have a choice in life and it is simple. Believe or Disbelieve. And there are consequences for each choice. If we believe in God and do not listen to his commands we are going to suffer loss in eternity. If we don't believe at all we are already condemned. If you ignore a danger sign that the road ahead is dangerous you have to suffer the consequences if you proceed without caution. That my friends is logic. The letter of the law in a sense is only there for those who believe. The rest are lost because they have no hope. The issue is sin. Atheists rely on their intellect and are devoid of Spiritual understanding. They only believe in the human spirit. They have carnal minds, and therefore think only carnal thoughts. I believe in salvation and that Christ is my hope. But if you choose not to, that is your choice and you will have to deal with the consequences of that choice. If you want to believe in evolution or that we came from primordial soup go ahead. You can have the brain of Einstein and still be lost. God bless you with the right choice.
